Isaiah 53

1 The prophet, complaining of incredulity, excuseth the scandal of the cross, 4 by the benefit of his passion, 10 and the good success thereof.

 53:1 ¶ Who x4310 hath beleeued 539 z8689 our report? 8052 and to x5921 whom x4310 is the arme 2220 of the LORD 3068 reuealed? 1540 z8738

 53:2 For he shall grow vp 5927 z8799 before 6440 him as a tender plant, 3126 and as a root 8328 out of a drie 6723 ground: 776 x4480 hee hath no x3808 forme 8389 nor x3808 comelinesse: 1926 and when wee shall see 7200 z8799 him, there is no x3808 beautie 4758 that we should desire 2530 z8799 him.

 53:3 He is despised 959 z8737 and reiected 2310 of men, 376 a man 376 ofsorrows, 4341 and acquainted 3045 z8803 with griefe: 2483 and we hid x4564 as it were y4564 z8688 our faces 6440 from x4480 him; hee was despised, 959 z8737 and wee esteemed 2803 z8804 him not. x3808

 53:4 ¶ Surely 403 he x1931 hath borne 5375 z8804 our griefes, 2483 and caried 5445 z8804 our sorrowes: 4341 yet we x587 did esteeme 2803 z8804 him striken, 5060 z8803 smitten 5221 z8716 of God, 430 and afflicted. 6031 z8794

 53:5 But he x1931 was wounded 2490 z8775 for our transgressions, 6588 x4480 he was bruised 1792 z8794 for our iniquities: 5771 x4480 the chastisement 4148 of our peace 7965 [was] vpon x5921 him, and with his stripes 2250 we are healed. 7495 z8738

 53:6 All x3605 we like sheepe 6629 haue gone astray: 8582 z8804 we haue turned 6437 z8804 euery one 376 to his owne way, 1870 and the LORD 3068 hath layd 6293 z8689 on him x853 the iniquitie 5771 of vs all. x3605

 53:7 He was oppressed, 5065 z8738 and he x1931 was afflicted, 6031 z8737 yet he opened 6605 z8799 not x3808 his mouth: 6310 he is brought 2986 z8714 as a lambe 7716 to the slaughter, 2874 and as a sheepe 7353 before 6440 her shearers 1494 z8802 is dumme, 481 z8738 so he openeth 6605 z8799 not x3808 his mouth. 6310

 53:8 He was taken 3947 z8795 from prison, 6115 x4480 and from iudgement: 4941 x4480 and who x4310 shall declare 7878 z8787 his generation? 1755 for x3588 he was cut off 1504 z8738 out of the land 776 x4480 of the liuing, 2416 for the transgression 6588 x4480 of my people 5971 was he stricken. 5061

 53:9 And he made 5414 z8799 his graue 6913 with x854 the wicked, 7563 and with x854 the rich 6223 in his death, 4194 because x5921 he had done 6213 z8804 no x3808 violence, 2555 neither x3808 [was] any deceit 4820 in his mouth. 6310

 53:10 ¶ Yet it pleased 2654 z8804 the LORD 3068 to bruise 1792 z8763 him, he hath put [him] to griefe: 2470 z8689 when x518 thou shalt make 7760 z8799 his soule 5315 an offring for sinne, 817 he shall see 7200 z8799 [his] seede, 2233 hee shall prolong 748 z8686 [his] daies, 3117 and the pleasure 2656 of the LORD 3068 shall prosper 6743 z8799 in his hand. 3027

 53:11 He shall see 7200 z8799 of the trauell 5999 x4480 of his soule, 5315 [and] shalbe satisfied: 7646 z8799 by his knowledge 1847 shall my righteous 6662 seruant 5650 iustifie 6663 z8686 many: 7227 for hee x1931 shall beare 5445 z8799 their iniquities. 5771

 53:12 Therefore x3651 will I diuide 2505 z8762 him [a portion] with the great, 7227 and he shall diuide 2505 z8762 the spoile 7998 with x854 the strong: 6099 because x8478 x834 hee hath powred out 6168 z8689 his soule 5315 vnto death: 4194 and he x1931 was numbred 4487 z8738 with x854 the transgressours, 6586 z8802 and he bare 5375 z8804 the sinne 2399 of many, 7227 and made intercession 6293 z8686 for the transgressours. 6586 z8802
