Isaiah 24

1 The doleful judgments of God upon the land. 13 A remnant shall joyfully praise him. 16 God in his judgments shall advance his Kingdom.

 24:1 ¶ Behold, x2009 the LORD 3068 maketh the earth y776 emptie, 1238 z8802 x776 and maketh it waste, 1110 z8802 and turneth y5753 z8765 it vpside downe, 6440 x5753 and scattereth abroad 6327 z8689 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 thereof.

 24:2 And it shall be x1961 as with the people, 5971 so with the priest, 3548 as with the seruant, 5650 so with his master, 113 as with the maid, 8198 so with her mistresse, 1404 as with the buyer, 7069 z8802 so with the seller, 4376 z8802 as with the lender, 3867 z8688 so with the borower, 3867 z8801 as with the taker of vsurie, 5383 z8802 so 834 with the giuer of vsurie 5378 z8801 to him.

 24:3 The land 776 shall be vtterly y1238 z8736 emptied, 1238 z8735 and vtterly y962 z8736 spoiled: 962 z8735 for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath spoken 1696 z8765 x853 this x2088 word. 1697

 24:4 The earth 776 mourneth 56 z8804 [and] fadeth away, 5034 z8804 the world 8398 languisheth 535 z8797 and fadeth away, 5034 z8804 the haughtie 4791 people 5971 of the earth 776 doe languish. 535 z8797

 24:5 The earth 776 also is defiled 2610 z8804 vnder x8478 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 thereof: because x3588 they haue transgressed 5674 z8804 the lawes, 8451 changed 2498 z8804 the ordinance, 2706 broken 6565 z8689 the euerlasting 5769 couenant. 1285

 24:6 Therefore x5921 x3651 hath the curse 423 deuoured 398 z8804 the earth, 776 and they that dwell 3427 z8802 therin are desolate: 816 z8799 therefore x5921 x3651 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the earth 776 are burned, 2787 z8804 and few 4213 men 582 left. 7604 z8738

 24:7 The new wine 8492 mourneth, 56 z8804 the vine 1612 languisheth, 535 z8797 all x3605 the merrie hearted 8056 3820 doe sigh. 584 z8738

 24:8 The mirth 4885 of tabrets 8596 ceaseth, 7673 z8804 the noise 7588 of them that reioyce, 5947 endeth, 2308 z8804 the ioy 4885 of the harpe 3658 ceaseth. 7673 z8804

 24:9 They shall not x3808 drinke 8354 z8799 wine 3196 with a song, 7892 strong drinke 7941 shall bee bitter 4843 z8799 to them that drinke 8354 z8802 it.

 24:10 The city 7151 of confusion 8414 is broken downe: 7665 z8738 euery x3605 house 1004 is shut vp, 5462 z8795 that no man may come in. 935 z8800 x4480

 24:11 There is a crying 6682 for x5921 wine 3196 in the streets, 2351 all x3605 ioy 8057 is darkened, 6150 z8804 the mirth 4885 of the land 776 is gone. 1540 z8804

 24:12 In the citie 5892 is left 7604 z8738 desolation, 8047 and the gate 8179 is smitten 3807 z8714 with destruction. 7591

 24:13 ¶ When x3588 thus x3541 it shalbe x1961 in the midst 7130 of the land 776 among 8432 the people: 5971 [there shall be] as the shaking 5363 of an oliue tree, 2132 [and] as the gleaning grapes 5955 when x518 the vintage 1210 is done. 3615 z8804

 24:14 They x1992 shal lift vp 5375 z8799 their voice, 6963 they shal sing, 7442 z8799 for the maiesty 1347 of the LORD, 3068 they shall crie aloud 6670 z8804 from the sea. 3220 x4480

 24:15 Wherefore, x5921 x3651 glorifie 3513 z8761 ye the LORD 3068 in the fires, 217 [euen] the Name 8034 of the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 in the yles 339 of the Sea. 3220

 24:16 ¶ From the vttermost part 3671 x4480 of the earth 776 haue we heard 8085 z8804 songs, 2158 [euen] glory 6643 to the righteous: 6662 but I said, 559 z8799 My leannesse, 7334 my leannesse, 7334 woe 188 vnto me: the treacherous dealers 898 z8802 haue dealt treacherously, 898 z8804 yea the treacherous dealers 898 z8802 haue dealt very y899 treacherously. 898 z8804 x899

 24:17 Feare, 6343 and the pit, 6354 & the snare 6341 [are] vpon x5921 thee, O inhabitant 3427 z8802 of the earth. 776

 24:18 And it shall come to passe, x1961 [that] he who fleeth 5127 z8801 from the noise 6963 x4480 of the feare, 6343 shall fall 5307 z8799 into x413 the pit; 6354 and he that commeth vp 5927 z8802 out of the midst 8432 x4480 of the pit, 6354 shalbe taken 3920 z8735 in the snare: 6341 for x3588 the windowes 699 from on high 4791 x4480 are open, 6605 z8738 and the foundations 4146 of the earth 776 doe shake. 7493 z8799

 24:19 The earth 776 is vtterly y7489 z8800 broken downe, 7489 z8712 the earth 776 is cleane y6565 z8800 dissolued, 6565 z8707 the earth 776 is moued y4131 z8694 exceedingly. 4131 z8800

 24:20 The earth 776 shall reele y5128 z8799 to and fro, 5128 z8800 like a drunkard, 7910 and shall be remooued 5110 z8712 like a cottage, 4412 and the transgression 6588 thereof shall be heauie 3513 z8804 vpon x5921 it, and it shall fall, 5307 z8804 and not x3808 rise 6965 z8800 againe. 3254 z8686

 24:21 And it shall come to passe x1961 in that x1931 day, 3117 that the LORD 3068 shall punish 6485 z8799 x5921 the hoste 6635 of the high ones 4791 [that are] on high, 4791 and the kings 4428 of the earth 127 vpon x5921 the earth. 127

 24:22 And they shalbe gathered together 622 z8795 [as] prisoners 616 are gathered 626 in x5921 the pit, 953 and shall be shut vp 5462 z8795 in x5921 the prison, 4525 and after many 7230 x4480 dayes 3117 shall they bee visited. 6485 z8735

 24:23 Then the Moone 3842 shall be confounded, 2659 z8804 and the Sunne 2535 ashamed, 954 z8804 when x3588 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 shall reigne 4427 z8804 in mount 2022 Zion 6726 and in Ierusalem, 3389 and before x5048 his ancients 2205 gloriously. 3519
