Ieremiah 31

1 The restoration of Israel. 10 The publication therof. 15 Rahel mourning is comforted. 18 Ephraim repenting is brought home again. 22 Christ is promised. 27 His care over the Church. 31 His New Covenant. 35 The stability, 38 and amplitude of the Church.

 31:1 ¶ At the same x1931 time, 6256 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 wil I be x1961 the God 430 of all x3605 the families 4940 of Israel, 3478 & they x1992 shalbe x1961 my people. 5971

 31:2 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD; 3068 The people 5971 which were left 8300 of the sword 2719 found 4672 z8804 grace 2580 in the wildernesse, 4057 euen Israel, 3478 when I went 1980 z8800 to cause him to rest. 7280 z8687

 31:3 The LORD 3068 hath appeared 7200 z8738 of old 7350 x4480 vnto mee, [saying]; Yea I haue loued 157 z8804 thee with an euerlasting 5769 loue: 160 therefore x5921 x3651 with louing kindnesse 2617 haue I drawen 4900 z8804 thee.

 31:4 Againe x5750 I will build 1129 z8799 thee, and thou shalt be built, 1129 z8738 O virgine 1330 of Israel, 3478 thou shalt againe x5750 be adorned 5710 z8799 with thy tabrets, 8596 and shalt goe forth 3318 z8804 in the daunces 4234 of them that make merry. 7832 z8764

 31:5 Thou shalt yet x5750 plant 5193 z8799 vines 3754 vpon the mountaines 2022 of Samaria, 8111 the planters 5193 z8802 shall plant, 5193 z8804 and shall eate [them] as common things. 2490 z8765

 31:6 For x3588 there shall be 3426 a day, 3117 that the watchmen 5341 z8802 vpon the mount 2022 Ephraim 669 shall cry; 7121 z8804 Arise 6965 z8798 yee, and let vs goe vp 5927 z8799 to Zion 6726 vnto x413 the LORD 3068 our God. 430

 31:7 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Sing 7442 z8798 with gladnesse 8057 for Iacob, 3290 and shout 6670 z8761 among the chiefe 7218 of the nations: 1471 publish 8085 z8685 yee, praise 1984 z8761 yee, and say; 559 z8798 O LORD 3068 saue 3467 z8685 x853 thy people 5971 x853 the remnant 7611 of Israel. 3478

 31:8 Behold, x2009 I will bring 935 z8688 them from the North 6828 countrey, 776 x4480 and gather 6908 z8765 them from the coasts 3411 x4480 of the earth, 776 [and] with them the blind 5787 and the lame, 6455 the woman with child, y2030 x2029 and her that trauelleth with child 3205 z8802 together, 3162 a great 1419 company 6951 shall returne 7725 z8799 thither. x2008

 31:9 They shall come 935 z8799 with weeping, 1065 and with supplications 8469 will I leade 2986 z8686 them: I will cause them to walke y3212 z8686 x1980 by x413 the riuers 5158 of waters, 4325 in a straight 3477 way 1870 wherein they shall not x3808 stumble: 3782 z8735 for x3588 I am x1961 a father 1 to Israel, 3478 and Ephraim 669 is my first borne. 1060

 31:10 ¶ Heare 8085 z8798 the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 O yee nations, 1471 and declare 5046 z8685 [it] in the iles 339 afarre off, 4801 x4480 and say; 559 z8798 Hee that scattered 2219 z8764 Israel 3478 will gather 6908 z8762 him, and keepe 8104 z8804 him as a shepheard 7462 z8802 [doth] his flocke. 5739

 31:11 For x3588 the LORD 3068 hath redeemed 6299 z8804 x853 Iacob, 3290 and ransomed 1350 z8804 him from the hand 3027 x4480 of him that was stronger 2389 then x4480 hee.

 31:12 Therefore they shall come 935 z8804 and sing 7442 z8765 in the height 4791 of Zion, 6726 and shall flow together 5102 z8804 to x413 the goodnesse 2898 of the LORD, 3068 for x5921 wheate, 1715 and for x5921 wine, 8492 and for x5921 oyle, 3323 and for x5921 the young 1121 of the flocke 6629 and of the herd: 1241 and their soule 5315 shall be x1961 as a watered 7302 garden, 1588 and they shall not x3808 sorrow 1669 z8800 any more 3254 z8686 at all.

 31:13 Then x227 shall the virgine 1330 reioyce 8055 z8799 in the daunce, 4234 both yoong men 970 and old 2205 together: 3162 for I will turne 2015 z8804 their mourning 60 into ioy, 8342 and will comfort 5162 z8765 them, and make them reioyce 8055 z8765 from their sorrow. 3015 x4480

 31:14 And I will satiate 7301 z8765 the soule 5315 of the priests 3548 with fatnesse, 1880 and my people 5971 shall be satisfied y7646 z8799 with x7646 x853 goodnesse, 2898 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 31:15 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD; 3068 A voyce 6963 was heard 8085 z8738 in Ramah, 7414 lamentation 5092 [and] bitter 8563 weeping: 1065 Rahel 7354 weeping 1058 z8764 for x5921 her children, 1121 refused 3985 z8765 to be comforted 5162 z8736 for x5921 her children, 1121 because x3588 they [were] not. x369

 31:16 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD; 3068 Refraine 4513 z8798 thy voice 6963 from weeping, 1065 x4480 and thine eyes 5869 from teares: 1832 x4480 for x3588 thy worke 6468 shall be 3426 rewarded, 7939 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and they shall come againe 7725 z8804 from the land 776 x4480 of the enemie. 341 z8802

 31:17 And there is 3426 hope 8615 in thine end, 319 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that [thy] children 1121 shall come againe 7725 z8804 to their owne border. 1366

 31:18 ¶ I haue surely y8085 z8800 heard 8085 z8804 Ephraim 669 bemoaning y5110 z8711 himselfe x5110 [thus], Thou hast chastised 3256 z8765 me, and I was chastised, 3256 z8735 as a bullocke 5695 vnaccustomed 3808 3925 z8795 [to the yoke]: turne 7725 z8685 thou me, and I shall be turned; 7725 z8799 x3588 thou x859 [art] the LORD 3068 my God. 430

 31:19 Surely x3588 after y310 that x310 I was turned, 7725 z8800 I repented; 5162 z8738 and after y310 that x310 I was instructed, 3045 z8736 I smote 5606 z8804 vpon x5921 [my] thigh: 3409 I was ashamed, 954 z8804 yea euen x1571 confounded, 3637 z8738 because x3588 I did beare 5375 z8804 the reproch 2781 of my youth. 5271

 31:20 [Is] Ephraim 669 my deare 3357 sonne? 1121 [is] he a pleasant 8191 child? 3206 for x3588 since 1767 x4480 I spake 1696 z8763 against him, I doe earnestly y2142 z8800 remember 2142 z8799 him still: x5750 therefore x5921 x3651 my bowels 4578 are troubled 1993 z8804 for him; I will surely y7355 z8763 haue mercy 7355 z8762 vpon him, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 31:21 Set thee vp 5324 z8685 way-markes; 6725 make 7760 z8798 thee high heaps: 8564 set 7896 z8798 thine heart 3820 toward the high way, 4546 [euen] the way 1870 [which] thou wentest: 1980 z8804 turne againe, 7725 z8798 O virgine 1330 of Israel, 3478 turne againe 7725 z8798 to x413 these x428 thy cities. 5892

 31:22 ¶ How long x5704 x4970 wilt thou go about, 2559 z8691 O thou backsliding 7728 daughter? 1323 for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath created 1254 z8804 a new thing 2319 in the earth: 776 A woman 5347 shall compasse 5437 z8779 a man. 1397

 31:23 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 the God 430 of Israel, 3478 As yet x5750 they shall vse 559 z8799 x853 this x2088 speech 1697 in the land 776 of Iudah, 3063 and in the cities 5892 thereof, when I shall bring againe 7725 z8800 x853 their captiuitie, 7622 The LORD 3068 blesse 1288 z8762 thee, O habitation 5116 of iustice, 6664 and mountaine 2022 of holinesse. 6944

 31:24 And there shall dwell 3427 z8804 in Iudah 3063 it selfe, and in all x3605 the cities 5892 thereof together, 3162 husbandmen, 406 and they [that] goe forth 5265 z8804 with flocks. 5739

 31:25 For x3588 I haue satiated 7301 z8689 the wearie 5889 soule, 5315 and I haue replenished 4390 z8765 euery x3605 sorowfull 1669 z8804 soule. 5315

 31:26 Upon x5921 this x2063 I awaked 6974 z8689 and beheld, 7200 z8799 and my sleepe 8142 was sweete 6149 z8804 vnto me.

 31:27 ¶ Behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that I will sow 2232 z8804 x853 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 and the house 1004 of Iudah 3063 with the seed 2233 of man, 120 and with the seed 2233 of beast. 929

 31:28 And it shall come to passe, x1961 [that] like as x834 I haue watched x8245 ouer y8245 z8804 x5921 them, to plucke vp 5428 z8800 and to breake downe, 5422 z8800 and to throw downe, 2040 z8800 and to destroy, 6 z8687 and to afflict: 7489 z8687 so x3651 will I watch x8245 ouer y8245 z8799 x5921 them, to build 1129 z8800 and to plant, 5193 z8800 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 31:29 In those x1992 dayes 3117 they shall say 559 z8799 no x3808 more, x5750 The fathers 1 haue eaten 398 z8804 a sowre grape, 1155 and the childrens 1121 teeth 8127 are set on edge. 6949 z8799

 31:30 But x3588 x518 euery one 376 shall die 4191 z8799 for his owne iniquitie, 5771 euery x3605 man 120 that eateth 398 z8802 the sowre grape, 1155 his teeth 8127 shall be set on edge. 6949 z8799

 31:31 ¶ Behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that I will make 3772 z8804 a newe 2319 couenant 1285 with x854 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 and with x854 the house 1004 of Iudah. 3063

 31:32 Not x3808 according to the couenant 1285 that x834 I made 3772 z8804 with x854 their fathers 1 in the day 3117 [that] I tooke 2388 z8687 them by the hand, 3027 to bring x3318 them out y3318 z8687 of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 which x834 x853 my couenant 1285 they x1992 brake, 6565 z8689 although I x595 was an husband 1166 z8804 vnto them, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 31:33 But x3588 this x2063 [shall be] the couenant, 1285 that x834 I will make 3772 z8799 with x854 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 After 310 those x1992 dayes, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 I will put 5414 z8804 x853 my law 8451 in their inward parts, 7130 and write 3789 z8799 it in x5921 their hearts, 3820 and wil be x1961 their God, 430 and they x1992 shall be x1961 my people. 5971

 31:34 And they shall teach 3925 z8762 no x3808 more x5750 euery man 376 x853 his neighbour, 7453 and euery man 376 x853 his brother, 251 saying, 559 z8800 Know 3045 z8798 x853 the LORD: 3068 for x3588 they shall all x3605 know 3045 z8799 mee, from the least 6996 x4480 of them vnto x5704 the greatest 1419 of them, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD; 3068 for x3588 I will forgiue 5545 z8799 their iniquitie, 5771 and I will remember 2142 z8799 their sinne 2403 no x3808 more. x5750

 31:35 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 which giueth 5414 z8802 the Sunne 8121 for a light 216 by day, 3119 [and] the ordinances 2708 of the moone 3394 and of the starres 3556 for a light 216 by night, 3915 which diuideth 7280 z8802 the sea 3220 when the waues 1530 thereof roare, 1993 z8799 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 [is] his name. 8034

 31:36 If x518 those x428 ordinances 2706 depart 4185 z8799 from before 6440 x4480 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 then the seed 2233 of Israel 3478 also x1571 shall cease 7673 z8799 from being x4480 x1961 a nation 1471 before 6440 me for euer. 3117 x3605

 31:37 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 If x518 heauen 8064 aboue 4605 x4480 can bee measured, 4058 z8735 and the foundations 4146 of the earth 776 searched out 2713 z8735 beneath, 4295 I x589 will also x1571 cast off 3988 z8799 all x3605 the seed 2233 of Israel 3478 for x5921 all x3605 that x834 they haue done, 6213 z8804 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 31:38 ¶ Behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that the citie 5892 shall be built 1129 z8738 to the LORD 3068 from the tower 4026 x4480 of Hananeel 2606 vnto the gate 8179 of the corner. 6438

 31:39 And the measuring 4060 line 6957 z8675 y6961 shall yet x5750 goe forth 3318 z8804 ouer against x5048 it, vpon x5921 the hill 1389 Gareb, 1619 and shall compasse about 5437 z8738 to Goath. 1601

 31:40 And the whole x3605 valley 6010 of the dead bodies, 6297 and of the ashes, 1880 and all x3605 the fields 8309 y7709 z8675 vnto x5704 the brooke 5158 of Kidron, 6939 vnto x5704 the corner 6438 of the horse 5483 gate 8179 towards the East, 4217 [shalbe] holy 6944 vnto the LORD, 3068 it shall not x3808 be plucked vp, 5428 z8735 nor x3808 throwen downe 2040 z8735 any more x5750 for euer. 5769
