Genesis 18

1 Abraham entertaineth three angels. 9 Sarah is reproved for laughing at the strange promise. 17 The destruction of Sodom is revealed to Abraham. 23 Abraham maketh intercession for the men thereof.

 18:1 ¶ And the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 vnto x413 him, in the plaines 436 of Mamre: 4471 and he x1931 sate 3427 z8802 in the tent 168 doore, 6607 in the heat 2527 of the day. 3117

 18:2 And he lift vp 5375 z8799 his eyes 5869 and looked, 7200 z8799 and loe, x2009 three 7969 men y582 x376 stood 5324 z8737 by x5921 him: and when he saw 7200 z8799 [them], hee ranne 7323 z8799 to meete 7125 z8800 them from the tent y168 doore, 6607 x4480 x168 and bowed y7812 z8691 himselfe x7812 toward the ground, 776

 18:3 And said, 559 z8799 My Lord, 136 If x518 now x4994 I haue found 4672 z8804 fauour 2580 in thy sight, 5869 passe not away, 5674 z8799 x408 I pray thee, x4994 fro x4480 x5921 thy seruant: 5650

 18:4 Let a little 4592 water, 4325 I pray you, 4994 be fetched, 3947 z8714 and wash 7364 z8798 your feete, 7272 and rest your selues 8172 z8734 vnder x8478 the tree: 6086

 18:5 And I will fetch 3947 z8799 a morsell 6595 of bread; 3899 and comfort x5582 ye y5582 z8798 your hearts, 3820 after that 310 you shall passe on: 5674 z8799 for x3588 therefore x5921 x3651 are you come 5674 z8804 to 5921 your seruant. 5650 And they said; y1696 z8765 x559 So x3651 doe, 6213 z8799 as x834 thou hast said. y559 z8799 x1696

 18:6 And Abraham 85 hastened 4116 z8762 into the tent, 168 vnto x413 Sarah, 8283 & said; 559 z8799 Make ready quickly 4116 z8761 three 7969 measures 5429 of fine 5560 meale, 7058 knead 3888 z8798 [it], and make 6213 z0 cakes y5692 vpon the hearth. y6213 z8798 x5692

 18:7 And Abraham 85 ranne 7323 z8804 vnto x413 the heard, 1241 and fetcht 3947 z8799 a calfe, 1121 1241 tender 7390 and good, 2896 and gaue 5414 z8799 it vnto x413 a yong man: 5288 and he hasted 4116 z8762 to dresse 6213 z8800 it.

 18:8 And he tooke 3947 z8799 butter, 2529 and milke, 2461 and the calfe 1121 1241 which x834 he had dressed, 6213 z8804 and set 5414 z8799 it before x6440 them; y6440 and he x1931 stood 5975 z8802 by x5921 them vnder x8478 the tree: 6086 and they did eate. 398 z8799

 18:9 ¶ And they said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Where 346 is Sarah 8283 thy wife? 802 And he said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 in the tent. 168

 18:10 And he said, 559 z8799 I will certainly y7725 z8800 returne 7725 z8799 vnto x413 thee according to the time 6256 of life; 2416 and loe, x2009 Sarah 8283 thy wife 802 shall haue a sonne. 1121 And Sarah 8283 heard 8085 z8802 [it] in the tent 168 doore, 6607 which x1931 was behind x310 him. y310

 18:11 Now Abraham 85 and Sarah 8283 were old, 2205 and well stricken 935 z8802 in age: 3117 [and] it ceased 2308 z8804 to be x1961 with Sarah 8283 after the maner 734 of women. 802

 18:12 Therefore Sarah 8283 laughed 6711 z8799 within x7130 her selfe, y7130 saying, 559 z8800 After 310 I am waxed old, 1086 z8800 shall I haue x1961 pleasure, 5730 my lord 113 being old x2204 also? y2204 z8804

 18:13 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Abraham, 85 Wherefore 4100 x2088 did Sarah 8283 laugh, 6711 z8804 saying; 559 z8800 Shall I of a surety 552 x637 beare y3205 z8799 a childe, x3205 which 589 am old? 2204 z8804

 18:14 Is y6381 z0 any thing 1697 too hard 6381 z8735 for the LORD? 3068 x4480 At the time appointed 4150 will I returne 7725 z8799 vnto x413 thee, according to the time 6256 of life, 2416 and Sarah 8283 shall haue a sonne. 1121

 18:15 Then Sarah 8283 denied, 3584 z8762 saying, 559 z8800 I laughed 6711 z8804 not: x3808 for x3588 she was afraid. 3372 z8804 And he said, 559 z8799 Nay, 3808 but x3588 thou diddest laugh. 6711 z8804

 18:16 ¶ And the men y582 x376 rose vp 6965 z8799 from thence, x4480 x8033 and looked 8259 z8686 toward 6440 x5921 Sodome: 5467 and Abraham 85 went 1980 z8802 with x5973 them, to bring them on the way. 7971 z8763

 18:17 And the LORD 3068 said, 559 z8804 Shall I x589 hide 3680 z8764 from Abraham 85 x4480 that thing which 834 I x589 doe; 6213 z8802

 18:18 Seeing that Abraham 85 shall surely become 1961 a great 1419 and mighty 6099 nation, 1471 and all x3605 the nations 1471 of the earth 776 shall be blessed 1288 z8738 in him?

 18:19 For x3588 I know 3045 z8804 him, that 834 x4616 hee will command 6680 z8762 x853 his children, 1121 and his household 1004 after x310 him, y310 and they shall keepe 8104 z8804 the way 1870 of the LORD, 3068 to doe 6213 z8800 iustice 6666 and iudgement, 4941 that x4616 the LORD 3068 may bring 935 z8687 vpon x5921 Abraham, 85 x853 that which x834 hee hath spoken 1696 z8765 of x5921 him.

 18:20 And the LORD 3068 said, 559 z8799 Because x3588 the cry 2201 of Sodome 5467 and Gomorrah 6017 is great, y7227 x7231 and because x3588 their sinne 2403 is very 3966 grieuous: 3513 z8804

 18:21 I will goe downe 3381 z8799 now, x4994 and see 7200 z8799 whether they haue done 6213 z8804 altogether 3617 according to the cry 6818 of it, which is come 935 z8802 vnto x413 me: and if x518 not, x3808 I will know. 3045 z8799

 18:22 And the men y582 x376 turned their faces 6437 z8799 from thence, x4480 x8033 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 toward Sodome: 5467 but Abraham 85 stood 5975 z8802 yet 5750 before 6440 the LORD. 3068

 18:23 ¶ And Abraham 85 drew neere, 5066 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 Wilt thou also x637 destroy 5595 z8799 the righteous 6662 with 5973 the wicked? 7563

 18:24 Peraduenture x194 there be 3426 fifty 2572 righteous 6662 within 8432 the citie; 5892 wilt thou also x637 destroy, 5595 z8799 and not x3808 spare 5375 z8799 the place 4725 for 4616 the fiftie 2572 righteous, 6662 that x834 are therein? 7130

 18:25 That be farre 2486 from thee, to do 6213 z8800 x4480 after this x2088 maner, 1697 to slay 4191 z8687 the righteous 6662 with x5973 the wicked, 7563 and that the righteous 6662 should be x1961 as the wicked, 7563 that be farre 2486 from thee: Shall not x3808 the Iudge 8199 z8802 of all x3605 the earth 776 doe 6213 z8799 right? 4941

 18:26 And the LORD 3068 said, 559 z8799 If x518 I find 4672 z8799 in Sodom 5467 fiftie 2572 righteous, 6662 within 8432 the citie, 5892 then I will spare 5375 z8804 all x3605 the place 4725 for their sakes. x5668

 18:27 And Abraham 85 answered, 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 Behold x2009 now, x4994 I haue taken vpon x2974 me y2974 z8689 to speake 1696 z8763 vnto x413 the LORD, 136 which 595 am but dust 6083 and ashes. 665

 18:28 Peraduenture x194 there shall lacke 2637 z8799 fiue 2568 of the fiftie 2572 righteous: 6662 wilt thou destroy 7843 z8686 x853 all x3605 the citie 5892 for [lacke] of fiue? 2568 And he said, 559 z8799 If x518 I find 4672 z8799 there x8033 fourtie 705 and fiue, 2568 I will not x3808 destroy 7843 z8686 [it].

 18:29 And hee spake 1696 z8763 vnto x413 him yet x5750 againe, 3254 z8686 and said, 559 z8799 Peraduenture x194 there shall be fourtie 705 found 4672 z8735 there: x8033 and he said, 559 z8799 I will not x3808 doe 6213 z8799 [it] for fourties y705 sake. x5668 x705

 18:30 And he said 559 z8799 vnto him, Oh 4994 let not x408 the Lord 136 be angry, 2734 z8799 and I will speake: 1696 z8762 Peraduenture x194 there shall thirtie 7970 bee found 4672 z8735 there. x8033 And he said, 559 z8799 I will not x3808 doe 6213 z8799 [it], if x518 I find 4672 z8799 thirtie 7970 there. x8033

 18:31 And he said, 559 z8799 Behold x2009 now, x4994 I haue taken vpon x2974 mee y2974 z8689 to speake 1696 z8763 vnto x413 the Lord: 136 Peraduenture x194 there shall bee twenty 6242 found 4672 z8735 there. x8033 And he said, 559 z8799 I will not x3808 destroy 7843 z8686 [it] for twenties y6242 sake. x5668 x6242

 18:32 And hee saide, 559 z8799 Oh x4994 let not x408 the Lord 136 be angry, 2734 z8799 and I will speake 1696 z8762 yet 389 but [this] once: 6471 Peraduenture x194 ten 6235 shall be found 4672 z8735 there. x8033 And he said, 559 z8799 I will not x3808 destroy 7843 z8686 [it] for tennes y6235 sake. x5668 x6235

 18:33 And the LORD 3068 went his way, y3212 z8799 x1980 assoone as 834 hee had left 3615 z8765 communing 1696 z8763 with x413 Abraham: 85 and Abraham 85 returned 7725 z8804 vnto his place. 4725
