2 Kings 5

1 Naaman, by the report of a captive maid, is sent to Samaria to be cured of his leprosy. 8 Elisha, sending him to Jordan, cureth him. 15 He refusing Naaman's gifts granted him some of the earth. 20 Gehazi, abusing his master's name unto Naaman, is smitten with leprosy.

 5:1 ¶ Now Naaman 5283 captaine 8269 of the host 6635 of the king 4428 of Syria, 758 was x1961 a great 1419 man 376 with 6440 his master, 113 and honourable, 5375 z8803 x6440 because x3588 by him the LORD 3068 had giuen 5414 z8804 deliuerance 8668 vnto Syria: 758 He was x1961 also a mighty 1368 man 376 in valour, 2428 [but he was] a leper. 6879 z8794

 5:2 And the Syrians 758 had gone out 3318 z8804 by companies, 1416 and had brought away captiue 7617 z8799 out of the land 776 x4480 of Israel 3478 a litle 6996 maid, 5291 & she waited x1961 x6440 on y6440 Naamans 5283 wife. 802

 5:3 And shee saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 her mistresse, 1404 Would y305 God x305 my lord 113 [were] with 6440 the Prophet 5030 that x834 [is] in Samaria, 8111 for 227 hee would recouer 622 z8799 him of his leprosie. 6883 x4480

 5:4 And one went in, 935 z8799 and tolde 5046 z8686 his lord, 113 saying, 559 z8800 Thus x2063 and thus x2063 said 1696 z8765 the mayd 5291 that x834 [is] of the land 776 x4480 of Israel. 3478

 5:5 And the king 4428 of Syria 758 said, 559 z8799 Goe to, y3212 z8798 x1980 Goe, 935 z8798 and I will send 7971 z8799 a letter 5612 vnto x413 the king 4428 of Israel. 3478 And hee departed, y3212 z8799 x1980 and tooke 3947 z8799 with x3027 him y3027 ten 6235 talents 3603 of siluer, 3701 and sixe 8337 thousand 505 [pieces] of gold, 2091 and ten 6235 changes 2487 of raiment. 899

 5:6 And hee brought 935 z8686 the letter 5612 to x413 the king 4428 of Israel, 3478 saying, 559 z8800 Now x6258 when this x2088 letter 5612 is come 935 z8800 vnto x413 thee, behold, x2009 I haue [therewith] sent 7971 z8804 x853 Naaman 5283 my seruant 5650 to x413 thee, that thou mayest recouer 622 z8804 him of his leprosie. 6883 x4480

 5:7 And it came to passe x1961 when the king 4428 of Israel 3478 had read 7121 z8800 x853 the letter, 5612 that he rent 7167 z8799 his clothes, 899 and said, 559 z8799 [Am] I x589 God, 430 to kill 4191 z8687 and to make aliue, 2421 z8687 that x3588 this x2088 man y2088 doeth send 7971 z8802 vnto x413 me, to recouer 622 z8800 a man 376 of his leprosie? 6883 x4480 Wherefore 389 x3588 consider, 3045 z8798 I pray you, x4994 and see 7200 z8798 how x3588 he x1931 seeketh a quarrell 579 z8693 against me.

 5:8 ¶ And it was x1961 so when Elisha 477 the man 376 of God 430 had heard, 8085 z8800 that x3588 the king 4428 of Israel 3478 had rent 7167 z8804 x853 his clothes, 899 that he sent 7971 z8799 to x413 the king, 4428 saying, 559 z8800 Wherefore x4100 hast thou rent 7167 z8804 thy clothes? 899 Let him come 935 z8799 now x4994 to x413 mee, and he shall know 3045 z8799 that x3588 there is 3426 a Prophet 5030 in Israel. 3478

 5:9 So Naaman 5283 came 935 z8799 with his horses, 5483 and with his charet, 7393 and stood 5975 z8799 at the doore 6607 of the house 1004 of Elisha. 477

 5:10 And Elisha 477 sent 7971 z8799 a messenger 4397 vnto x413 him, saying, 559 z8800 Goe 1980 z8800 and wash 7364 z8804 in Iordane 3383 seuen 7651 times, 6471 and thy flesh 1320 shall come againe 7725 z8799 to thee, and thou shalt be cleane. 2891 z8798

 5:11 But Naaman 5283 was wroth, 7107 z8799 and went away, y3212 z8799 x1980 and saide, 559 z8799 Beholde, x2009 I thought, 559 z8804 He will surely y3318 z8800 come out 3318 z8799 to x413 me and stand, 5975 z8804 and call 7121 z8804 on the Name 8034 of the LORD 3068 his God, 430 and strike 5130 z8689 his hand 3027 ouer x413 the place, 4725 and recouer 622 z8804 the leper. 6879 z8794

 5:12 [Are] not x3808 Abana 71 z8676 y549 and Pharpar, 6554 riuers 5104 of Damascus, 1834 better 2896 then all x4480 x3605 the waters 4325 of Israel? 3478 May I not x3808 wash 7364 z8799 in them, and be cleane? 2891 z8804 So he turned, 6437 z8799 and went away y3212 z8799 x1980 in a rage. 2534

 5:13 And his seruants 5650 came neere 5066 z8799 and spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 him, and said, 559 z8799 My father, 1 [If] the Prophet 5030 had bid 1696 z8765 x413 thee do some great 1419 thing, 1697 wouldest thou not x3808 haue done 6213 z8799 it? How much rather x637 then, y637 when x3588 hee saith 559 z8804 to x413 thee, Wash 7364 z8798 and be cleane? 2891 z8798

 5:14 Then went he downe, 3381 z8799 and dipped 2881 z8799 himselfe seuen 7651 times 6471 in Iordan, 3383 according to the saying 1697 of the man 376 of God: 430 and his flesh 1320 came againe 7725 z8799 like vnto the flesh 1320 of a litle 6996 childe, 5288 and he was cleane. 2891 z8799

 5:15 ¶ And he returned 7725 z8799 to x413 the man 376 of God, 430 he x1931 and all x3605 his company, 4264 and came, 935 z8799 and stood 5975 z8799 before 6440 him: and he said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 now x4994 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 [there is] no x369 God 430 in all x3605 the earth, 776 but x3588 x518 in Israel: 3478 now x6258 therefore, I pray thee, x4994 take 3947 z8798 a blessing 1293 of x4480 x854 thy seruant. 5650

 5:16 But he said, 559 z8799 As the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 before 6440 whom x834 I stand, 5975 z8804 I will receiue 3947 z8799 none: And hee vrged 6484 z8799 him to take 3947 z8800 it, but he refused. 3985 z8762

 5:17 And Naaman 5283 said, 559 z8799 Shall there not x3808 then, I pray thee, x4994 be giuen 5414 z8714 to thy seruant 5650 two y6776 mules 6505 x6776 burden 4853 of earth? 127 for x3588 thy seruant 5650 wil henceforth x5750 offer 6213 z8799 neither x3808 burnt offering, 5930 nor sacrifice 2077 vnto other 312 gods, 430 but x3588 x518 vnto the LORD. 3068

 5:18 In this x2088 thing 1697 the LORD 3068 pardon 5545 z8799 thy seruant, 5650 [that] when my master 113 goeth 935 z8800 into the house 1004 of Rimmon 7417 to worship 7812 z8692 there, x8033 and hee x1931 leaneth 8172 z8737 on x5921 my hand, 3027 and I bow y7812 z8694 myselfe x7812 in the house 1004 of Rimmon: 7417 when I bow downe y7812 z8692 my selfe x7812 in the house 1004 of Rimmon, 7417 the LORD 3068 pardon 5545 z8799 thy seruant 5650 in this x2088 thing. 1697

 5:19 And he said 559 z8799 vnto him, Go y3212 z8798 x1980 in peace. 7965 So he departed y3212 z8799 x1980 from x4480 x854 him, a litle y3530 way. 776 x3530

 5:20 ¶ But Gehazi 1522 the seruant 5288 of Elisha 477 the man 376 of God, 430 said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 my master 113 hath spared 2820 z8804 x853 Naaman 5283 this x2088 Syrian, 761 in not receiuing 3947 z8800 x4480 at his hands 3027 x4480 x853 that which x834 hee brought: 935 z8689 but x3588 x518 [as] the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 I wil runne 7323 z8804 after 310 him, and take 3947 z8804 somewhat 3972 of x4480 x854 him.

 5:21 So Gehazi 1522 followed 7291 z8799 after 310 Naaman: 5283 and when Naaman 5283 saw 7200 z8799 him running 7323 z8801 after 310 him, hee lighted downe 5307 z8799 from x4480 x5921 the charet 4818 to meet y7125 z8800 x7122 him, and said, 559 z8799 [Is] all-well? 7965

 5:22 And he said, 559 z8799 All [is] well: 7965 my master 113 hath sent 7971 z8804 me, saying, 559 z8800 Behold, x2009 euen now x6258 x2088 there be come 935 z8804 to x413 mee from mount 2022 x4480 Ephraim 669 two 8147 yong men, 5288 of the sonnes 1121 x4480 of the Prophets: 5030 Giue 5414 z8798 them, I pray thee, x4994 a talent 3603 of siluer, 3701 and two 8147 changes 2487 of garments. 899

 5:23 And Naaman 5283 said, 559 z8799 Bee content, 2974 z8685 take 3947 z8798 two talents: 3603 and hee vrged 6555 z8799 him, and bound 6696 z8799 two y8147 talents 3603 of siluer 3701 in two 8147 bags, 2754 with two 8147 changes 2487 of garments, 899 and layde 5414 z8799 [them] vpon x413 two 8147 of his seruants, 5288 and they bare 5375 z8799 [them] before 6440 him.

 5:24 And when he came 935 z8799 to x413 the towre, 6076 he tooke 3947 z8799 them from their hand, 3027 x4480 and bestowed 6485 z8799 [them] in the house, 1004 and hee let x853 the men y582 x376 goe, 7971 z8762 and they departed. y3212 z8799 x1980

 5:25 But he x1931 went in, 935 z8802 and stood 5975 z8799 before x413 his master: 113 and Elisha 477 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Whence 370 x4480 [commest thou], Gehazi? 1522 And hee said, 559 z8799 Thy seruant 5650 went 1980 z8804 no x3808 whither. 575

 5:26 And he said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Went 1980 z8804 not x3808 mine heart 3820 [with thee], when x834 the man 376 turned y2015 z8804 againe x2015 from x4480 x5921 his charet 4818 to meete y7125 z8800 x7122 thee? [Is it] a time 6256 to receiue 3947 z8800 x853 money, 3701 and to receiue 3947 z8800 garments, 899 and Oliue yards, 2132 and Uineyards, 3754 and sheepe, 6629 and oxen, 1241 and men seruants, 5650 and mayd seruants? 8198

 5:27 The leprosie 6883 therefore of Naaman 5283 shall cleaue 1692 z8799 vnto thee, and vnto thy seede 2233 for euer: 5769 And hee went out 3318 z8799 from his presence 6440 x4480 a leper 6879 z8794 [as white] as snow. 7950
